Official Rules & Regulations for the Asheville is Awesome Giveaway
ELIGIBILITY – This giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada. Entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry. No purchase necessary. This giveaway is open to individuals only; commercial and business entities are not eligible. Employees of GirlsGetaway.com and the Asheville Convention and Visitors Bureau, as well as their immediate families or persons living in the same household of such individuals are ineligible. The contest is void in Quebec, Puerto Rico and anywhere prohibited by law.
SCHEDULE - The contest begins on November 25, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. EST and ends on December 11, 2009 at 5 p.m. Online entries must be received by 4:59 p.m. EST on December 11, 2009.
HOW TO ENTER - All entries that comply with the rules listed will receive identical treatment.
Participants may enter once via entry form, once through the comment section and once through posting a trip talk for a total of three (3) possible entries. All entries must be unique and sincere.
All participants must use valid email accounts when entering the giveaway via GirlsGetaway.com. Email accounts must also be valid at time of contest drawing. If your name is chosen as the winner and we cannot contact you via your email within ten (10) business days, we will draw another winner.
ONLINE ENTRIES: All contest entries become the property of GirlsGetaway.com and the Asheville Visitor and Convention Bureau. Entries are void if they are illegible in any way, incomplete, produced in error, or obtained through theft or fraud. By entering the giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and regulations. In the case of a dispute, online entries will be considered as made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted during entry.
Every entrant will automatically be registered to receive a complimentary
subscription to the Foodtopian Society Newsletter.
CONFIDENTIALITY- Your email address, and any other information included in your entry form will never be sold, rented or given to any third party for commercial use, nor will GirlsGetaway.com or the Asheville Convention and Visitors Bureau release these lists to any third party for any reason.
CONTEST PRIZE - One (1) winner will be selected. The prize consists of:
Hotel Indigo – a one night stay at Asheville’s newest boutique hotel. Some restrictions and blackout dates apply.
Grove Park Inn - Breakfast for two at the Blue Ridge Dining Room.
Asheville Independent Restaurant Association - an AIR Dining Club Passport booklet filled with $500 worth of coupons.
North Carolina Arboretum, - Two (2) day passes to the visit this 434-acre natural treasure with 65 acres of cultivated gardens and 10 miles of hiking and biking trails.
Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tours - An adventure package for a thrilling a zipline through the trees!
No prize transfer or substitution by the winner is allowed.
The package does not include: Transportation/airfare to and from Asheville, nor transportation within Asheville
Giveaway package prizes are subject to availability at the time of booking.
This giveaway package may not be sold, has no cash value, is non-transferable, and must be accepted as awarded or will be considered null and void.
WINNER SELECTION - Random selection of the winner will occur on or about December 11, 2009 from all qualified entries received. The prize drawing will be carried out at the offices GirlsGetaway.com. The selected entrant will be notified by email. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible online entries received.
REDEMPTION AND VERIFICATION - The winner must respond within ten (10) business days of prize notification in order to claim the Asheville giveaway package. If the giveaway is not claimed within this time, a new winner will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.
LIABILITY LIMITATIONS – GirlsGetaway.com is not responsible for any issues with or malfunction of any telephone lines, online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or any combination thereof, including any injury or harm to participants' or any other person’s computers related to or resulting from participation in this giveaway.
RIGHT TO SUSPEND/CANCEL GIVEAWAY - If for any reason the giveaway is not capable of running as planned, due to an unauthorized intervention, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of GirlsGetaway.com that corrupt or affect the administration, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this giveaway, the sponsor reserves the right, at its own discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who meddle with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, change or suspend the giveaway.
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS - By participating, winner and companion agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the sponsor, GirlsGetaway.com, and its partners, agents and their employees, directors, and representatives from any liability, losses, claims and damages arising out of their participation in the contest or any giveaway-related activities and the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize received in this contest. Participants agree (a) to be bound by these official regulations; (b) that the decisions of Sponsor are final on all matters relating to the giveaway; and (c) if he/she wins, to the use of his/her name and or likeness (as well as the name and/or likeness of the travel companion) for promotional and/or advertising purposes without compensation (except where prohibited by law) and upon request, to provide consent to in writing for such use.
If the contest winner declines the prize or is unavailable, an alternate winner will be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries.
