Red Dress Run in New Orleans

On one weekend day in August the streets of New Orleans are awash in a sea of red. Red dresses that is, worn by both men and women in an annual fun run organized by the New Orleans Hash House with proceeds going to local nonprofits.
After attending this year’s event on August 10, 2013 I have to say the men are giving women a run for their money in showing off their Diva side.

Love this idea! Your photos are brilliant – I loved seeing everyone in costume! What a wonderful way to bring a diverse and incredibly fun loving group of people together for a hilarious day of fundraising and no doubt, a wonderful night of celebrating the days’ successes! I never thought the guys would show up in such numbers wearing dresses but it’s about the partying and letting loose, having a good time and raising money for good causes that makes New Orleans Red Dress Run & the Hash House Harriers such a success. They deserve to be known as the party capital of the world. to note a few of the guys did look quite good in their dresses. Not all, but a good number did.
